Information to help with class assignments
Rhenium (symbol Re), discovered in 1925 by German scientists Ida and Walter Noddack, is one of the last naturally occurring elements to be identified. Rhenium’s uniqueness is its high melting point (3,180 ° C) and high density (21.04 g/cc). Products from rhenium can be thermally cycled thousands of times with no effects.
